Trey Songz Drops “SmartPhones” Video & Reveals “Trigga” Cover + Release Date

Atlantic recording artist Trey Songz is celebrating his sultry new single, “SmartPhones.” The video has been released and the song is shaping up as another slow jam smash for Songz, with Complex hailing it as “a wonderful track that delivers just enough innocence behind (Trey’s) words as he sings about the difficulties of dealing with a relationship over a (smart phone).” The track recently impacted at multi-format Urban radio outlets nationwide.

“Na Na,” the first single from “TRIGGA,” has already proven a popular favorite, reaching the top 10 at multi-format Urban radio with sales rapidly approaching RIAA gold certification. Meanwhile, the track’s companion video — directed by Gil Green & Trey Songz and co-starring WWE’s Brie & Nikki Bella — continues to rock YouTube with close to 18 million views.

Long regarded as a brilliant live performer, Trey will star at a number of upcoming summer festivals, highlighted by a Stadium Stage set at the 2014 Hot 97 Summer Jam, scheduled for June 1st at East Rutherford, New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
